About ROYCE LEE
Royce Lee Freeman is a veteran Sportsman drag racer currently competing in Competition Eliminator alongside teammate Mike Lomas. He was introduced to drag racing by his father, Royce Freeman Sr., in the 1970s, Royce Lee spent his formative years around the racetrack alongside his brothers, Richard, and Robert.
Over decades in the sport, Royce Lee established himself as a dominant competitor in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series ranks, earning victories in Top Sportsman and Competition Eliminator. A crowning moment in his driving career came in 2024 when he captured his first NHRA national event victory in Norwalk, Ohio.
In addition to his driving duties in Elite Motorsports’ Sportsman program, Royce Lee is part of the company’s race car sales and acquisition department at their Wynnewood, Oklahoma headquarters and is trackside supporting team operations. Royce Lee’s sons, Chase and Casey Freeman, also work at Elite Motorsports. Chase has worked his way up to be part of the crew chief brain trust and Casey, the youngest, is clutch specialist on Aaron Stanfield’s Pro Stock entry.
