When you think of Erica Enders in current day you wouldn’t think of a drought coming to an end. Today the number one qualifier drought does just that. It has been since 2015 since Enders and team took the green hat home on Saturday. Today at the Lucas Oil Brainerd Nationals at Brainerd international Raceway, Erica and the boys got it done.

“I can’t believe it’s been three seasons since I’ve been able to wear my own and green hat”, The two-time champion said. “After a few years of playing catch-up, it seems we are back to the well oiled machine we have always been known to be.”

Enders has never been shy about giving credit where credit is due through her entire successful career. Majority of her career has been with her current team, Elite Motorsports powered by Elite Performance and Richard Freeman.

“Our team has seven wins on the year, but my car only has one. We have had such a successful year but when you go to six finals and only come away with one Wally, you can’t help but be slightly disappointed. That’s the sign of a Championship caliber team.”

Enders is currently sitting third in the points standings with Brainerd and Indy to go before The Countdown to The Championship begins.

“This twenty-four race season is all about peaking at the right time, and Brainard is that time.”
